P-30 repower Frank Sullivan 6-20-07
I am about to repower a 1979 P-30 Airstream coach. Just wondering if anyone has any tip for easier removal of old 454. It must come out the front
over the bumper. Just wanting to make it go as smooth as possible willing to listen to any ideas and Thanks

Hello Frank;
as you remove things---i suggest you use zip loc style baggies and mark them so as to NOT mix bolts and etc or lose them--make up your own procedure---unless you have a printed one...

Humm Humm, that would be nice to see that one go with a Duramax LBZ.

I just finished repowering my 1984 Winnebago Elandon. The engine came out the passenger door. I changed all the engine components so I won't have to go back to change anything later. It runs great now. I had to have custom power steering hoses and air conditioning hoses made because they are not carried in any of the autoparts stores around here. The parts people got most of the parts wrong the first time around, maybe better to take the old parts with you when you go to buy new ones. Should be on the road within a few weeks. Good luck with yours.
