Problems with Banks power pack. Grant 6-18-07
I have a 1999 pace arrow with banks exhaust system. It burns the starter wires frequently. Miplaced sheilds by repairmen have been part of the problem but I can't get 100 miles without burnt wires. Should I put the stock exhaust back on? Any other solutions?

Can you reroute the wires or shield them anyway. How close is the exhaust from the wires. You may be able to shield them with some hi temp covering.Maybe a good speed shop could help,as some of those guys have good info and know a lot of products for special uses. Good Luck MIKE

What motor do you have?

The Banks exhaust is not the problem, The shop that did the work needs to fix the problem

Build a set of shields or go to the engine dealer (Ford Chevy Dodge etc) and order a new one, I wrap my starter wires in an asbestos type heat material I got from summit racing.

Good luck, Kevin
