E350 460 sputtering Ken Jack 5-29-07
I currently have my E350 460 Ford (Class C Motorhome) in the shop. They have replaced plugs, wires, fuel filter,a 8 pin something or the other, flushed the injector system ( I think that is what they said) but the engine still sputters.
When I first brought it in it would run for a few seconds then almost stall then resume idle.
The mechanic says that it is idling ok now but sputters when a load is put on the motor.
Is there something I can suggest
Thanks
Ken

Ken;
have they tested the fuel pump.?
or run Scan to see what the computer is saying ? IE; codes
you didn't say what year your ford is.
rich in Va.

1994 Ford
Mechanic put in
New Plugs
New Wires
New Rotor
and a new ignition sensor unit
finally works but occasionally acts like it has missed on one cylinder.
Bought this unit second hand and this is probably the first time it has had a complete tune-up (original dealer said it had been done but the mechanic said plugs were original---154000 kms)
Fuel pump "seems" to be okay.
Scope did not find the sensor problem.

Having similar problems with similar repairs now performed, no codes set, running out of ideas short of throwing parts at it ruthlessly...
