If I am not mistaken I beleave that the 74 440 was setup for unleaded. However, WalMart sells a lead additive, it is a big bottle, about 5.00. It says for off the road use only, however, it never use to say that. I used it for a number of years without any valve failure. Still think the 74 used unleaded though.
