This generator is over 12 yrs old and has run time of 12 hrs. Got it with used rv and it would run till it got hot and lose spark. Now it wont start-no spark. I looked at low oil and high heat kill switch, but unit has time delay switch that gives it 10 seconds to build up oil pressure.The ignition coil, in addition to spark plug wire, has a red and a white wire connecting it to the ignition module. Tapping that red wire while cranking shows over 9 volts dc going to coil with spark plug wire remaining dead. Is this a bad coil or is there more to it?
Starts then quicks. Something to do with the load monitor? Can't find anyone in Calif to fix it. Those that have failed with a high cost to me. Those in the Central Coast of Calif, don't use San Luis Powerhouse for you Generac RV generators....
