F250 Heavy Duty Melinda 4-27-06
I have a F250 automatic,300, in-line 6,
I had a new water pump and radiator and thermostat put in my truck. Before I had the radiator put in it had gotten to where it would only do about 25 mph. It could have run hot, but there is no water in the oil. I was told it needed a pick-up ciol and an ignition module. Could this fix the problem.

Melinda

Generally the pick coil and ignition coil work or dont work, they dont necessarilly control/relate to fuel economy. That is more likely cause by cold/spark gap, lack of air flow(air filter blockage) fuel delivery problems (fuel filter or injector problems).

Sorry I dont recognize the engine info, if you have an older vehicle, Carb issues are very common culprits to fuel economy issues also.

I would drop the exhaust and run it, you may have a clogged cat converter.

What year is your F250 and have you changed the fuel filter? Mike
