1987 Ford Ranger Heater-No Heat John 3-8-06
My ranger blows cold air when the heater is on. The heater core is new and the hoses as well as the water pump. Can anyone help me?

Thanks.

John

John
There is a temp control cable that runs from the control to the heater box. It is under the dash. you might be able to see it under the dash or you may have to take out the glove box to get to it. Ther is also a cable that cotrols the air from the vents to defrost. when you find the 2 cables on the heater box watch the cable ends and see if they are conected and if they both move while you move the controls. The one that dose not move or is not conected is most likely the temp control. If They are both conected and one dos not move, it may have come disconected at the control. To get to that end you will have to remove the control from the dash. Also check to see that the hoses are getting hot that go to the heater core. hope this helps.

This did not work. Could it be the sensor (heating element) that is located in the A/C box in the engine compartment.
