92 ford 460 truck boggs on acceleration bill brickey 7-20-03
Having problems with 92 ford f250 2 wheel with 460. runs at idle but boggs out on acceleration. has new fuel filter, fuel pressure is good. used code scanner and came up with a blank. could it be pcm or some thing else? was running great then just out of the blue started doing this. also where is the best place to get a new pcm?
thanks bill

Could be a long shot, check the Timming Chain. If it has 20 degrees run out, the injector timming could be so far off, it's turned Doggie, "boggs".

Gary has a point there, check the ignition timing, if it is retarded by 7 1/2 degrees or any multiple thereof, then the timing chain has jumped one or more teeth on the camshaft gear. Use of a vacuum gauge will verify this. If the timing hasn't changed, then check with a vacuum guage for a restricted exhaust system.
