Thanks re 89 Chev 454 cut-out problem Kim B 8-3-02
A word of thanks to everyone for the advice and ideas. Both the mechanic and I appreciated the feedback and help. Had a fuel pressure guage on while it acted up this past week -- definite drop in pressure. This rig had a fuel pump in the gas tank that was no longer functioning -- tank was pulled and the in-tank pump replaced. All seems to be ok -- took it up and down the mtn on an 80 deg day and seems to be fine (we'll see). Thanks again.

1989 southwind rv with 454 engine and carburator cuts out on hot day while climbing in 2nd gear on a 6% grade. I'm told only fuel injection engines have a fuel pump in the gas tank. the coach is 28 ft.
