At temps above 90 degrees it appears that the fuel system suffers from vapor lock. It misses and hesitates as if it is starving for gas. It has a mechanical fuel pump. I don't know if it has an electric booster pump in the rear or in the tank. I am considering either adding an electric booster pump or eliminating the mechanical pump all together and retrofitting to electric. It runs great below 90 degrees. I have replaced the mechanical pump and filters. Whats the best route to go to eliminate this thorn in my side?

My P30 based Southwind had a short 6" length of rubber fuel line hose bridging the gap between the two steel hardlines. This rubber line had deteriorated over time and was allowing the fuel pump to suck in air instead of pulling gas from the tank. This rubber line was located just inside, (behind) the fold-away stair mechanism. I had to get under the chassis to see the problem

Sounds like either a bad pump or clogged fuel filter or filters or a mis adjusted float in the carb allowing the fuel bowl to not be filled to teh proper leval to operate the engine. or even a float that is saturated and leaking internally. It could also be teh beginings of teh ignition module going bad. They run fine untill they get hot and then will loose power and stall or allmost stall and then be fine when they cool down.
