Can't start - '85 Country Coach, P30 With 454 Doghouse Steve Howard 8-27-08
Turns over great - no catch - not even a hint of wanting to start. It has not been driven for about 9 months. Anyone able to tell me where the fuel filter is located? I'm going to try some starter fluid tomorrow to verify no fuel getting to carb. It has always been a BEAST to start cold (after sitting a week or two) - I almost wear my foot and ankle out pumping it while it cranks.

Words of wisdom very welcome - even if not so wise, words are still welcome.

Try some starter fluid or a little gas directly into carb. If it starts, then dies, your not getting gas. Fuel filters are either near gas tanks or near the carb. Follow gas lines back from carb to tanks to verify location. If changing filters doesn't do it, check the fuel pump for fuel pressure. Also verify the gas lines are not cracked, and sucking air instead of gas. Hope this helps. Jerry

Jerry:
Thanks for your input. I replaced the fuel filter, a couple of squirts of Starer fluid into the carb - BAM! Started right up! Now... if I could now just figure out why the furnace in the coach doesn't light up!...

Thanks again!
