I am looking at buying this 87 tiffin allegro with a 454 engine. We started it up and besides a exhaust leak on the driver side I noticed the right side exhaust pipe from the manifold down about 3 feet was glowing red. The owner said he never noticed this before, but I don't think he ever crawled under and noticed like I did. What could cause this problem. I did notice acorn tops on the intake manifold and was wondering if maybe a exhaust valve could be hung open by debris. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the rest of the unit is in good condition. Thanks Jay. |
