No 120v when pluggged in Larry R Reeves 7-8-08
I had the rv plugged into my house before our trip. I had one AC unit on and the house power tripped. I thought it was a house breaker and went on my trip only using generator. When I got back I plugged it back in at my storage yard. I have no 120v going to my rv. I have 120 with the generator running, but not when it's plugged into the power at my storage spot. I checked all the breakers in my rv and on my convertor, their fine. I checked the power at the plug in and it's fine too. Any ideas? It's a 1996 Mountain Aire diesel pusher.

The thing you havent mentioned testing is the transfer switch. It simply allows the genset to power your unit and makes sure it does not back poer to the utility or vise versa. a switch can go bad. Either one of the contacts burns out or the switch fails on way or the other. Working correct it will get power from the gen set then wait 20 seconds (varies) then turn off the utillity and load the generator. Trace the wiring from your genset to the unit and at a spot the genset and shore power wiring will meet. that box will contain the change over. good luck
Only receptacles work in travel trailer Denise 7-31-08
I've had a 2004 Regal Prowler travel trailer for 4 1/2 months. No problems until 2 weeks ago. Seems only the receptacles work now and anything over th 12v doesn't work. A/C, hot water heater, ceiling lights, and fridge MAY work sporadically....but I'll get that aggravating beep every couple of minutes from what I think is the low voltage alarm...at which point the above named units fail. I am permanently attached to a proper connection that has been tested by an electrician and deemed good. He feels it's an inside problem and is at a loss for an explanation. ANy ideas? This 30 footer is my home and it's kind of aggravating.

Sorry....my first time on the board...thought I was entering in a question, not an answer!

While traveling home from holidays i stopped to check my 2004 prowler regal fifth wheel and found i had no 12v power at all (lights, fridge, furnace, slide) upon returning home i hooked up 120 and found i still had no 12v microwave works and elec outlets work. To winterize my camper i had to run a line from my battery directly to fuse panel. i beleive my converter is either gone or a wire has fallen off either way i can't find it. 04 prowler regal 285 rls
