I own a 1989 Starcraft GMC Vandura LX 2500 series conversion RV. RV shorts out brand new batteries within one day of purchase. I need a wiring manual to determine why the power is being pulled from newly purchased batteries. Happened twice with two brand new batteries. RV will not start without a charge. Charge does not hold very long. Inspection by dealer shows no other problem. Firestone could not find the problem. Suggested taking RV to original GMC dealer. Local GMC Dealer does not have a 1989 wiring manual in order to research and fix the problem. Dealer suggested I search for one also. Dealer was recommended by a call placed to GMC manufacturer. Dealership typically service these vehicles. It is hard to find a wiring manual for this classic conversion van. RV only has 40,000 miles. Placed call again to manufacturer at (800) 321-1903 (ext 115), to find a manual. Left message. No reply as of yet. Can you help? |
