THE FUEL AND TEMP GAUGE WENT OUT AT THE SAME TIME. DO THEY BOTH SHARE THE SAME COMMON GROUND? I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A WIRING DIAGRAM IF POSSIBLE.

I agree with you about needing a wiring diagram. I have a '97 Ford Explorer and a few years ago I had a nasty ground problem that I could not figure out where it was bad. I was able to get an "Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual" for my SUV from Helm. You can reach them at 800-782-4356. I am not sure if this manual is from Ford and reprinted by Helm but in any event it is extremely thorough including exact details as to what wires go in what spade lugs, etc. Not sure what I paid for it but probably around 50 bucks. It was worth every penny! I found that I had a bad connection at a ground spade lug inside the crimp!
