Starter solenoid won't operate in 1999 Fleetwood Bounder 36S David hartke 6-26-08
I have a 1999 Fleetwood Bounder model 36S. The starter solenoid will not operate. I have traced it down to no power to solenoid when I turn the key to start. Without a wiring diagram it is almost impossible to trace where the solenoid relay/fuse is located. I can hear a relay click in an engine control module but it may just be for the ignition and not the solenoid. Does anybody know how one can get a wiring diagram? Working in the dark without a wiring diagram!

No click with good battery means starter is bad. multiple clicks is rapid succession means battery is low or corroded connections, ground?
One or two clicks with above connections good and battery strong means solenoid means replacement. Good Luck!

Did you by accident turn off Main and Aux battery switches---up above the door as you come in??
any bad ground---will do the same---as well as a dead start battery---check and clean your connections---check battery voltage---while NOT plugged in---does horn sound---do lights work--

I parked my MH for the winter and when I tried to start it, there was just one click. I had the battery check and it was fine. I cleaned all the cables. I found was was the one click in the engine (ignition solenoid) and had it replaced. But it still seem like it stops there with that one click. All my lights work, but for some reason my engine will not even crank? Could it be that my starter is or starter solenoid is bad?

Thanks so much for your suggestion. It WAS the Main and Aux battery switches as you suggested. The RV wasn't mine and I was just trying to help out a friend who obviously was not aware of the switches.
