I have an Elixer 12 amp and I have always used the trailer on battery and have never plugged in, This winter I took the battery out now when I plug the trailer in the 110 plugs all work but the lights and the smoke dedector flashes and says low voltage, the lights also flash on and off.

Could be the fuses. could also be faulty connections at the inverter itself.
Re: Power Converter Problems Kevin 5-30-08
I'm have the same problem. I was told it could be the fuse. When I took it out of my camper and opened the converter I could not find any fuse. I'm afraid since it solid state perhaps it is just burned out. Any help would be great!

I am on converter # 2 Elx 30. Niether of them have worked properly from the start. I currently have the same problem. I have AC but not 12 V DC power at all, except to raise the trailer? Help, I am going crazy.

I have in my "Aliner" camper trailer a Elixir 20 Amp unit. I purchase the new trailer in the fall of 2005.
I only use it three times in the pass 3 years for a total of 9 weeks every fall for the moose hunt.
Anyway the converter start smelling then the Fan stop running and then it would not charge the Battery after the second week of the hunt this year.
I took it out of the camper and its burn out. My friend at the camp has a WFCO unit I am looking at replacing it with a WFCO model # 8725 (25 Amp). I will replace it myself. Any other suggestions or recomendations.
Thanks
Take care,
Raymond

I have an ELX 12 and I have no power whatsoever in my camper. I have checked all the fuses and they are all good. Also my elx 12 has 2 breakers i'm assuming for the roof mount ac unit, they never kicked either. Has anyone else had a problem with this unit? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Power Converter Problems Jason Marchand 6-24-08
Just on the above message. My have changed my fuses, no help, bought a new battery, no help. I am wondering if I have the battery cables on correctly or if they are no good? I have one red cable (with a little siver box on it) attached to positive and the other three cables going to black.
Re: Power Converter Problems fred 11-15-08
Yes, I have the elx-30 converter. Their is a 40 amp fuse on the back of the converter. You might be shorting out the fuse when you change out batteries. Positive line touching the frame? This is what I did
