Trailer Brakes locked up! Brenda 5-27-08
Yesterday on the way home from camping, brakes were very GRABBY and when almost home locked-up for a minute when pulling away from a stop signal!
Left a lot of rubber on one side, we pulled over and it unlocked, but still VERY grabby. I have pulled horse trailers for years, this camper for 3 years, never had this happen. I don't see any adjustment on the brake box inside the truck, is there some other adjustment area I should know about? Any other suggestions?

If the brakes get out of adjustment inside the drum far enough it can produce these symptoms. Your brake contontrol will have some sort of adjustments on it if it was built since the seventies. But I would start by checking the brake adjustment at the wheel first whith those symptoms. Good Luck
