2002 Ford Ramger brake problem Bill 5-23-08
Once in awhile the brake pedal does not return to the out position causing the front brakes to hang up. When pulled out they release.
Any suggestins as to what could be causing this? Thsnks, Bill

I haven't worked on this year Ranger but here we go. You have binding some where in the master cylinder or linkage or pedal. I have seen this most comonly when the spring inside the master cyclinder breaks. I have also seen the return spring on the pedal break. Least frequently a return spring on a brake shoe went bad. I think yours ahs four wheel disk though. Good Luck
