Am lookin 4 any1 who knows about a 1976 explorer motorhome 23ft..the engine is a 318 dodge.need some basic info on water pressure pump..does the holdin tanks have 2 b full to turn on and where is the ac/dc switch..thank u
There is a kit available to put a overdrive chev behind the dodge engines. It is marketed to hot rodders primarily. I have not done one but my boss put a Chev trans in his daily driver Charger. It isn't cheap. The dodge overdrives require a computor to run and are actualy a less desirable swap. For accurate info just ask your local wrecker or trany shop what bell housing match. From there its going to be all custom. Good Luck
I have a 2000 2wd deisel that locks in 1st under full throtle and slips in reverse. It has 190000 so I am trying to fix the problem instead of rebuilding. any ideas.
In your 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 2wd Cummins powered truck you have a 47re automatic transmission. The torque converter (if Stock) will not lock completely intill after it shifts into 3rd gear. It will slip in all gears before that, including reverse. I'd start by changing the fluid and adjusting the bands to factory specifications. The front band adjusting bolt is on the drivers side of the case. The rear band adjustment bolt is inside, under the filter. If you're having other shifting problems, you may need to look at the governer pressure sensor and switch. They are common failure items.
