Am getting DTC codes P0171 and P0174. just had the fuel filter changed a couple months ago, and everything is running fine (i.e. no rough running, no loss in gas mileage, etc). Any thoughts?
97 Ford Ranger with power loss problem. Timing belt replaced and experienced a loss of power. Things checked and okay belt installation and timing marks,catalytic converter, fuel pressure,mass air flow sensor,pcv replaced,no vacuum leaks,when rev up diagnostics tool shows alternating rich -lean.
I have a 2002 Ranger Edge and I'm getting the same codes you all are getting P0171 P0174. These codes mean that your engine fuel ratio is not to the trucks settings. You have to much air getting in somewere. Most likely it's a vacuum line. I found a hole in a 90 deg. vacuum line that is under the upper rad hole. For a quick fix til you can find the part number to get replacement put teflon tape then black electrical tape. You might have to check with a deal for the part number you also might be able to get it aftermaket.
