I have a 2000 Ranger w/ 3.0 engine and Auto Trans. Yesterday, I had to use the 4 X 4 LOW position for literally 10 feet. When I repositioned it to 2 wheel drive, it remained in 4 X 4 LOW. I am hoping it is just the solenoid at the transfer case but was wondering if any of you had a similar problem. My truck has about 58K miles on it.
FYI., I too am having the hard shift symptoms but have had 2 Rangers from 1994 through 2000 and they all shifted like that. |
