I have a 1959 GM PD 4104 with a 4spd. with overdrive,I'm seeking any info.on overdrive components,such as manuals,trouble shooting and pump pressures or repairs

My 4104 is not blessed with the over-drive. I would also like to know about them. Also does anyone know of where I might look for one for my rig?

What model transmission is it, Is it a Hydrashift trans....I think I might have a manuals for it

Doug,
I just ran across this thread. Is the Hydrashift you are referring to the planetary gearset that was fitted between the engine and bellhousing on some (rare) PD-4104's? I drove some belonging to Embree Buses in the seventies that I think came from Gray Line in San Francisco. They had eight forward speeds with an air-operated button on the shift lever for splitting hi-lo in each gear. The Hydrashift unit itself was about 3-4 inches wide and was often called a two-speed clutch.
