Help, anyone! Help:

I just bought a 1974 Flxible. On the maiden voyage, the tranny broke down. The coach now sits in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and the mechanic can't even tell what kind of transmission it is. I'm told it's a GM V-drive, made by Allison, and it's probably not a 730 or 731. It appears to have 3 speeds, and the shifter is a toggle switch on the dash for forward, neutral, reverse. I was told the best man to talk to is a gentleman named Luke at U.S. Coach Repair in New Jersey, but the e-mail address I was given (uscoach@attglobal.net) doesn't work. Does anyone have his phone number, or e-mail, or even location? and does anyone know where I could get this tranny identified, and fixed or replaced? Can a later-model transmission be mated to this engine (Detroit V71)? Please help. Call me collect at 248-827-7025 or e-mail me at mlagies@attglobal.net. Thank you very, very much. -- Meinhart Lagies, Southfield, Michigan.
