Have 91 explorer 4.0, A4LD trans that has no drive when you shift from park to OD. Any other gear is fine. If you shift into OD and get no drive, then try another position, no drive. You must shift from park, or neutral to have drive. Any ideas where I can start to trouble shoot, and repair this?

If it were my car I would have the tranny serviced with new fluid and filter.If problem still there check if has any relays used in the OD circuit.Some of the newer cars have electronic controls on the tranny.Don't know a lot about trannys but I would try the simple things first. Good Luck Mike
