What transmission will fit a 1994 5.7 4x4 truck w/manual transmission. I was wondering if a manual transmission out of a two wheel drive would bolt up to my transfer case and work? what year s wolud fit?
I have a transmission in my 1994 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab 4x4 truck which MAY OR MAY NOT BE THE RIGHT transmission. The motor was replaced before I got the truck. It pulls out in 2nd and only has 2 gears - doesn't go into overdrive or low. Would the problem be with the vaccum or with some sort of shift cable that goes into low instead of overdrive? It shows where a cable has been on the motor, but it does not hook up on the transmission, so I need to know if there is something wrong with the transmission or if there is a vaccum that shifts the gears.
