I have a 4l80e installed in a monster jeep with a 454ci engine. The trannie works when manually shifted in reverse, neutral and drive, although once in drive (1,2,d, or od) it will not auto. shift. Its starts in 2nd or third gear and stays there no matter the speed. Also if shifter is in any drive gear position and is changed to any other position there is no change. ex. shift from drive to 2nd, no down shift. or 1st to 2nd, to drive no upshift.
