I own a 1999 chevy silverado 1500 truck that seems to slip when shifting while accelerating hard. If I drive it easy it shifts normal. What can I dio to fix the problem or prevent failure ?
I had the same problem i bought lucas trans oil $8.67 changed the filter and oil in the trans and added the lucas to it and the problem is gone just be carefull not to over fill it.
What kind of help is that? If we all had money or access to "reputable shops" we wouldn't be on these forums. Do you really mean "I don't have a clue"?
I have a similar problem, and where I live there is really no "repubale shop". So now what? yeah, I know, buy a new truck. Thanks for the advice.

I am trying to rebuid a 4L60-e transmission. I would like to know what to look for to fix the problem ? " It staying in low gear until the limet swicth shuts it off!
