4L80E Transmission Problems by Larry
My 1999 Chevy C-3500 with the 4L80E transmission want go into re-verse. It drives forward find but no re-verse. I've been told that I have a bad shift solenold. Could this be my problem? The trans mission has about 100K miles on it.

Re: 4L80E no reverse Mr. Lt1 7-20-08
I got you, Yes it usually is the shift solenoid, it's cheaper if you get it from the dealer, and while you at it change the filter and fluid and run synthetic in there, your trans will thank you for this.
