1976 Aristocrat has tubo 400 tranny. All well one day, won't shift into reverse the next. Pulled the pan, and checked the linkage, still connected. fluid still clean, not burnt. installed new filter and fluid. repalced the modulator. Still doesnt work. Any suggestions?
I got you, You can rebuild the trans or put a new one in there. It will be cheaper if you get one from a respectable yard, and replace the filter and fluids with synthetic.
