If you're worried about going over the 26,000lb gvw on a motorhome because of your license, don't. It doesn't apply-only to commercial applications. Unless the Vehicle Code for your state says different. But in Calif, it says that a class C can drive up to a 3 axle house car. No mention on weight rating.
As far as size, if you go up to 35ft, you'll have a bunch of buses to choose from for around the $5000 or less mark. Course, the smaller ones, are just built on small chassis. But if you want a truly heavy duty bus, use the 35ft with a Detroit 6V-92TA, Series 50, Cummins ISM in it. It'll last years. Good Luck, TomC |
