Hi folks....just picked up a really nice 1988 CTS (Champion)....was wondering where I can find info on the frame type, braking system, etc.?
It has a ford 460 motor and a three speed tranny... seems to have lots of power on the highways and hills... any one out there have any info? Thanks,

YOU PROBABLY HAVE A JOHN DEERE CHASSIS.
THAT IS ABOUT ALL THAT WAS AROUND IN THOSE DAYS. THE DIVISION OF JOHN DEERE WAS BOUGHT OUT BY OSHKOSH CHASSIS A FEW YEARS AFTER 1988, THEN OSHKOSH WAS BOUGHT OUT BY FREIGHTLINER CHASSIS. I HAVE A BOOK ON THE JOHN DEERE DATED JULY 1988. IF YOU GIVE ME THE VIN.#
I CAN TELL YOU IF THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE.
ALOT OF THE PARTS ON THIS CHASSIS ARE FORD PARTS.
