Question on Inverters for Flxible Metro by Fred
Post New Message Hello; I have just purchased a 1990 Flxible Metro 35-footer, which I plan to convert into a mobile workshop. I have a few AC current appliances that I will be using on the coach (i.e. a window fan, hotplate, drill, etc) and would like to know what type of inverter I must use. I understand that the earlier Grumman 870s were 12v, but the later Metros were 24v. Is this a system that is run off of two separate 12v systems, and if so, can I get away with simply hooking up a 12v inverter to just one battery? Also, what is the ballpark I would spend for an inverter?
