What is a 1975 GMC 40 Ft. Transit Bus Worth? The body inside and out are a bit rough, but not too bad; the diesel engine runs but can't get it into gear. Needs batteries etc.
I just need it initially as a "Storage Container", but may fix it up a little down the road.
He wants $300 without the engine, and $500 with the engine.
Please somebody give me some council on this. Is this a fair price?

I recently acquired a Suburban
"Fishbowl" in great shape (no back door
and bagage bays).
I'm thrilled with it, but prefer
the thicker, brown plastic steering
wheel I've seen on city type models.
It has a good 6v enging and I love the transmission, but it leaks
fluid. Haven't had it looked at yet.
Am in the middle of a 7,000 mile
trans-con round-trip from Nrthn Cal.
to Va. and back to some property I bought to park it on in the Mojave desert.

Yes,i have a 76,GMC,model,T8h5308a-450 for sale for $3995.It has the VS-2 speed trans & the 8V71.Body is very good condition.mechanically it is very good.I have been told that this engine does not have that many miles on it since it was rebuilt.It starts & runs excellent.It was a local coach from Las Vegas Transit.I bought it from a church,who got it from L.V.transit.It is 40 ft & 8 ft wide.It is a excellent shell for conversion.I think you will have a hard time finding a better one than this.My PH # is 702-658-8111.
