8V71T in a Flx/Grumm 870? Henry vdG 5-11-02
I have an o'l 1964 GM4106 and would like to have a spare "power pack".

I hear that the Flex 870 is a good doner and that some came with 8V71Ts.

Where does the turbo sit on the engine in these buses? (a path to a photo would be even better)

Thanks, Henry

Why tear up a perfectly good bus just for parts I HATE THAT!!! anyway I would look into a GMC Fishbowl instead because they are so much closer in fitting than a flx but then again they look identical as far as the engine situation.. Most Flx Metros atleast the one I have has a 6V92 in it which I USED to love more than the 71s till I lost a cylinder liner seal due to an air compressor internal exsplosion in my RTS. Look for an old Fishbowl. Mike.
