I have a 1999 coleman mesa tent trailer with a hard plastic roof. Small cracks have appeared and quickly spread with the change in temperature to the point where pieces are falling off. Is this a normal condition with this style of roof and is there a repair to stop the cracking. Any info will be helpful. Thank you
Hey, did either of you get a response on this issue. I have the same sort of problem. the seam where the edge meets the top along the back is buckling and separating because of the heat where I live. Was hoping to find a good solution.
My water damage problems extend to the front and back. I just got a royal blow off from the company. Bottom line is I have a 2000 Mesa trailer with a good roof which sounds like what you need. Any interest in a roof - junk trailer included?
I have a 2002 Sun Valley that has developed a hairline crack on both sides of the top, in the "gutter", running from not quite the front to not quite the back. On the recommendation of a sailboat owner friend I have put 3M Marine Adhesive/Sealant Fast Cure 5200 on the cracks being sure to press it in as much as possible. Also, there were two relatively major cracks on the trailer lower body front and rear where the top comes down to meet the body- I've tried the same stuff on those cracks too. So far so good on all. The sealant seems to be tough but flexible. We'll see over time if it works.
