Wanted-opinions on 79 ford 370eng sch bus tony 8-20-04
I would like to hear pros and cons about a 1979 ford 42 pass. with a 370 and 4spd with 2 speed rearend. I am thinking of buyig it for $1000. It runs good, good brakes, tires, trans. Pretty solid. Was used by river raft company to transfer people. I just want it to build a hunting camper. I would appreciate feedback if they were good or bad vehicles. Thank you for your input. Tony.

I've worked with the 370 4V and 2V on a number of occasions and it's a pretty solid motor. The only thing you need to keep an eye on is leaking. It's an easy motor to tune and keep running. It's more of a stump puller than a highway motor, but with your gearing you should move at a good clip.

Hope that helps!
