Hey venice beach,(no name)... I've got a 91' Bbird Int. 66 passenger...I'm trikkin' it out as I speak...!
Anywayz, I too am looking for materials and designs to build a deck..but I want one on the back of my bus..I also bought a huge-ass generator..lol. but am keeping it, just in case. First i must say, from what I've seen, the roof of most buses, are 2-ply...their pretty study,
3 of my friends amd me stood on top, and tested it's sturdyness by jumping a little. It did'nt even dent..
But I don't know what kind of bus you have.
I have learned this though, if your going to use aluminum/magn sheet metal, make sure it has a high temper designation.. but the sheet' will have 2 be twice as thick as 'steel sheet', if you want the same strength...but 'steel is 3 times as heavy...
I say just put up some railings.
good luck man...peace. |
