I have recently decided to by a school bus to convert into my tailgating palace and i need to know where to start. I plan to purchase some instruction booklets but i would like advice from those w/experience. My ideal set up would be to have a functional restroom, have seating for at least 10, and then use the back of the bus to hold the all important "beverage" dispensing equipment. Is this possible? How much can i expect to spend? What are the laws (NY) regarding the exterior flashing lights and stop signs? In a perfect world i would change the lenses to match the team colors and replace the stop signs with a team logo. Flashing lights with team colors would surely make a nice entrance at the away games. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
I don't know about your state, but most states do not allow any colors of lights that are used by emergency vehicles other than red tail lights. The best thing to do is call the local police station and talk to an officer, most will know this law off the top of their head. Also search for school bus conversion on the web, there are several sights and one has links to purchase books for exactly what you want. Good luck!
