Just wondering if anyone on this forum is discussing fully converting a school bus, to increase or rather decrease the fuel costs of operation?
I have converted two internationals, 6.9 litre diesel motor, to run on straight USED vegetable oil.
Grease, from the local dumpster outside a chinese restaurant.
See pics and some basic info at www.greasegypsy.com
I am currently looking at new projects, converting a couple of VW's to grease, and using them to pull my Boler trailer.
I intend on selling my half converted bus.
The motor has been fully converted for using Veggie oil, but the motor has nearly 400,000kms and is in desperate need of a rebuild. low compression.
Burning oil.
The inside is converted to queen bed and couch, porta potti, solar power panels and batteries, and pumps and filters for filling with veggie oil.
I am taking offers on this bus, but be clear, the motor needs work. Easy enough to find a cheap 6.9 diesel to replace, or rebuild it.
I spent a total of $110 to drive the last 50,000kms.
Lets see if anyone on these boards can match that gas mileage. |
