I have a Crown with a Cummins 220 pancake. Near the dipstick there's what I assume is a breather hose. It runs out about 18" and ends. At high RPMs this hose drips a large amount of oil.So much that at highway speeds I loose about 8 quarts of oil an hour and the back of my bus gets covered in oil. Does anyone know anything about this hose?

What you are describing sounds like the draft tube for the engine. It is supposed to let the crankcase breathe.
One of two things could be happening while you are going down the road. The first is the draft tube may be creating too great a vacuum and sucking the lube oil out of the crankcase instead of just letting the crankcase breathe.
The second thing that could be causing your oil to pour out is if you are getting too much pressure inside of your crankcase. Too much pressure could be caused by rings that are worn out.
In either case, unless you really like pouring oil into the engine and cleaning it off of the back and the bottom of your bus, you need to find out the cause before you drive your bus much further.

I got some help that sounds right on. The previous had recently put on a turbo. I'm told that if you don't go in and plug up the naturaly aspirated holes in the intake ports that the turbo will preasurize the crankcase. I'll let you know.
