Turned away at campgrounds? Jason 12-24-03
I have read several times that regular skoolies will be turned away at many campgrounds. I believe this to be an urban legend. Does anyone have an experience where YOU were actually turned away? Not stories of friends, relatives, or somewhone you once knew. Only interested in stories that happend to YOU personally.
I live in Michigan, when it comes to camping, i've only taken my regular nosed skoolie to State campgrounds, but i've found that almost EVERYONE loves my bus. I've never been turned away. I've even parked the bus in "limosine parking" spots in the city. Never had any problems with finding a home for the bus. http://geocities.com/blackplaguetour/ the bus' webssite

Yes, yes, yes.
campground on rt. 40 in maryland just north of the toll bridge there. my bus is not good looking-spare tire on the top and junk here and there. stickers from festivals in the windows.....but i was insulted anyway. i've been pretty much off campgrounds since.
