I've got most of the seats out, but there's a few bolts I can't get. Because there is no electricity near the bus, I can't use any power tools. I was thinking of getting one of those battery operated Dremel rotary tools to cut the heads off the bolts, and giving it a try.
Has anyone tried using one of these? Do you think it'll have the power for this?
Story I get is the batteries fade away ASAP on a job like this. Can't handle the torque requirements, don't last long.
The trick to removing stubborn bolts: Arc weld another bolt to the stuck bolt. The heat from the welding process expands the bolt enough that it stretches the hole. Then the bolt returns to normal size in the ovwersized hole.
Guy who told me that is one of those guys. You know, Paramedic, fireman, SCUBA rescue diver / instructor, pilot, woodworker, welder. Doesn't own a TV.
