Hard-side pop-up with slide out dinette & toilet cassette? J. Henderson 7-31-05
Do any companies make such a thing?

Hubby and are looking to switch from a tent to a pop-up camper but we have some items on our wishlist, and some of them are deal breakers.

Hubby's deal breaker: must be a low profile fold down camper (ergo no travel trailers), no longer than 12' (so no hi-los or trail manors).

My deal breakers: must have toilet and shower cassette. (I've had enough of escorting little boys to the nearest tree in the middle of the night after the bug dope has worn off.)

Must-have the slide out dinette. so we don't have knee knockers in teh middle of the trailer.

I love the layout of the Fleetwood Bayside, nice and roomy inside because of that slide out dinette. It's perfect except that it's a tent.

But I was thinking that a hardside pop-up might be better because it would be warmer and therefore we could use it later into the season and therefore get more bang for our buck.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

We saw a very nice lightweight travel trailer at a dealer's lot in Bayfield, Ontario. It is made in Canada, in Red Deer, Alberta. Fit and finish very good, price was reasonable as well.

Maybe its good qualities will outweigh the need for lower height..

Further to my last: it had a slideout also.

Go to trailmanor.com to see one brand of hard-side pop-up travel trailer. I do not think you will be able to fine a hardside pop-up due to it's design.

You may want to look at the 2008 Fleetwood Tacoma.

http://www.fleetwoodcampingtrailers.com/promo_Tacoma.aspx

It's 14' and has no slide-out, it only sleeps two adults and one child. However, it has a full shower/ceramic toilet.

I think if you want more sleeping room in the shortest possible towing length a trailmanor 2619 is the only way to go.
