Questions for Mountain Lakes members Sally 6-22-08
Hi!
My husband and I are looking into some Mtn Lakes memberships. I am looking for someone who is familiar with their policies and can answer some questions. We went on the free tour not knowing they would want an arm, leg and our first born......nor that we would be able to buy from a private party after. It has only been 3 months so we were thinking of buying a membership in my parents' name and then transferring it in two years. Can we do that? Can we use it while it is in my parents' names or do they have to go with us? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Your parents will have to get you into the park, they do check ID.

If your parents purchase the membership, make sure that they can transfer it to you. There are only 3 transfers allowed starting with original membership.
We got caught in that a couple of months ago, and could not purchase, because the owners were the thrid transfer

We are selling our Advantage membershjp (with use of cabins). We upgraded, so the buyer of our membership will have two life transfers. Adult family nmembers can get a adult family member associate card with our membership. any transfer contract would have to be signed by a buyer that hasn't visited in 2 years.

p.s, just curious, since mountain lakes tacks on a 25% commision on any membership THEY sell for a member, just how much are they trying to change now (they will not disclose it until they have you come for a sales presentation, and then of course they will not let you buy directly fromn a member for two years.
