I found this bus, a 1982 MCI MC-9 on the internet called "Missionary" http://www.busforsale.com/missionary/index.htm
I was told it has a chemical toilet and the conversion was done by a local contractor/cabinet maker...Is that a bad idea is a non converion company does a bus conversion? How does a person evaluate the conversion if you don't know much about conversions?
I'm looking for a bus with rear sleeping bunks, 4-6-8 of them, and forward couches and dinettes that convert to sleepers with bathrooms forward of the rear bunk space and galley forward of the bathroom.
I like the idea of noisy gathering areas forward, galley and bathroom area mid and sleeping quarters to the rear where hopefully it would be the quietest for sleeping when stationary.
This bus sort looks like an industrial strenght version, which is exactly what I am looking for. It has no seat belts except the driver which bothers me. I believe all people, sleeping or awake should be belted in.
I also like the idea of a forward facing seat or two so people can assist the driver and keep him company.
Would anyone like to comment on the layout, good, bad...?
And if you see any busses that are sort of like this, could you email me where they are located please, a link...?
