I have a 2002 with 18,000 miles. Immaculate condition. Just decided to sell sometime this year after the wife agreed. This is a wonderful van, but, it stays in the garage because we still work full time and it gets used so rarely. Just did a week up the California coast.
All work done at the local VW dealer.
Factory warranty bumper to bumper till Jan 2007, powertrain till Jan 2008, GEICO 7 year, 70,000 miles warranty.
Will put on the net or the SF Chronicle ads in August or Sept for $35-36,000.
Reluctantly selling and may reconsider if no interested buyers since this is a specialty van that fits a very limited kind of person.
I've had 2 VW campers in the pasr but, like you, to busy to use for the last 25 years. Retired now and still dreaming of those adventures I had and interested in buying one again.
Sorry you might give it up, but I wouled give it a great home and in a few years, if you want it back, I could offer you 1st choice if I bought it. I live 100 miles north of SF on Cobb Mountain and would like to possibly see it if I get down your way in a month or two if you are interested in selling it, although can understand if you have 2nd thoughts.
