Hi there- i am planning to sell my 1986 syncro. it has decent tires and brakes, newly rebuilt tranny, and high highway miles on the motor (240,000). i am a home vw mechanic, and won't try to sugar coat it. it is a nice bus, but will need a new motor (tdi conversion?) soon. the inside is converted from passenger van, to cedar bed and shelving with sink and underbed storrage. tinted windows, 7 foot roof rack platform, gas can cage on back, 4x4 works great. i love this bus, but need to get it out of the driveway. i'd like to get $3,000 for it. it is from AK, so the miles are mostly highway. little rust, some dents, but perfectly functional. thanks- dan

Hey walt. i would love to send you pics, but i have no digital camera and am looking for one to borrow. my van is showing a bit of its age in the paint and some minor dings, but it is functionally fine and strong. by minor, i mean you can see them, but they are not ugly or stand out.
the front has bucket seats, and the back is nice and cozy for living/travel if you are a bit rustic. someone built the nice cedar shelving, sink area and bed with care and skill (i am a woodworker by trade), and it is beautiful and solid. hope this helps. give me a call at 360-452-5888
