Re: bubbles in siding what causes this BUBBA THE BUS TECH 10-21-08
Hard wall trailers bulge and deform for two reasons. The water has cased the laminating glue to release or the water has caused the underlying wood to swell. You can fix the swollen wood fairly well by fixing the leak and exposing the wet wood from the inside and allowing it to dry over several months. The released glue is a little tougher. I have seen it done where the bubble was exposed from inside and dried, glue sprayed or injected and the bubble fource down and held till glue set. This was done with a piece of 3/4 plywood held against the side of the trailer by 2 x 4s wedged against the shop wall. Either way unless you get the unit for scrap metal price and are willing to put the big time required into the repair stay away.
