I need some advise from you experienced people in here. I have a 1986 winnebago Elandan 34' with dual roof air.

my question is with the front a/c unit. If I turn it on it just blows air and does not get cold. Is the unit controlled by the thermostat or should I be able to turn it on and get cold air without using the thermostat.

As you can tell I am new to rv'ing and am at a loss. My wife wants me to just take it in and say fix it. I hate to do this if it's some thing that because I am a dummy I am not doing it correctly.

I pulled the top cover off the unit on top of the rv and only saw what looks like two capacitors hooked together and the both looked clean and good. I did not see any other items that looked like capacitors. Do I have to take some of the sheet metal off the unit to expose them?

I have been told that either the start or run capacitors could be bad. Where do I find them.

Thanks for the advise
Jack

Hi i am looking for some help. I just bought a 1987 27' ford E350 by Tioga and the AC unit on top of the RV does not work it does not turn on (Coleman Delta TX) i was told that it could be the switch but i also tested the power outlets and none of the outlets have power. the generator is working. Should i take it in for service? or is there a fuse that controls the power for both the A/C and the power outlets? HELP!!

Thank you
